Today was the day for our long awaited cardiologist visit. The plan was to start weening her off of her heart medication since it’s a level two heart med. The plan was going to be drop down to twice a day instead of three times a day like we have been doing since she was born but my favorite Chief of Cardiology came in to see his favorite baby and decided on something even better!
I was literally brought to tears when I left their office today. We aren’t in the clear just yet though. We will have to check her heart even more now to make sure that she isn’t going into SVT. But since she hasn’t had a single attack since the NICU stay and they never had to change her dosages they think think will be just fine. If we don’t have anything happen (fingers crossed) for the next three months then we can graduate out of the Cardiology visits! Hooray for no more heart medication.
