75 Uses and Benefits to Coconut Oil

I bet you didn’t know that Coconut Oil had so many awesome benefits and uses? This past year I switched out the vegetable and canola oil in my house and replaced it with Coconut oil that I buy in massive tubes from Costco. But I really love the Fair Trade, Kelapo Coconut Oil. They shared […]

Day 19 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Another day down and I tackled the Tupperware cabinet. The one that always gets out of hand. I recycled a bag of containers that didn’t have lids and placed a shelf in the cabinet to make more room for storage. Follow my 40 Bags in 40 Days journey! Need organizing tips? Here are 50 for […]

Day 18 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

We are now on day 18 of 40 Bags in 40 Days and I’ve slowed down quite a bit because life has gotten crazy busy. I’m still taking on the challenge and I’ve rearranged my schedule because some days that I had allotted more time didn’t take as long as I thought they would. So […]

Day 11 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

I’m not going to lie, this weekend was such a huge undertaking that I took Monday off also. I needed to study for an exam anyways. I’m also extremely ashamed of the photos in this post. My master suite is a complete disgrace! It never should have gotten that bad. But it’s clean now and […]

Day 9 and 10 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Generally We would rest on Sunday but when it’s the only time my husband and I aren’t exhausted from the day or week we have been se cluttering all weekend and resting on Fridays. This weekend we tackled our master bedroom closet. It was a huge undertaking because it really branched out into the master […]

Day 8 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Tackled my daughters bathroom today. We had A LOT of hotel toiletries. Two grocery bags full. Lots of stuff that belonged in my bathroom too. My bathroom project just got a little harder. Follow my 40 Bags in 40 Days journey! Need organizing tips? Here are 50 for every room in your house!

Day 7 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

I took on a catch all cabinet today. Filled with lots of platters and glass vases. A giant pile to go to the recycling for sure. Not looking forward to tackling my bedroom or our garage. That’s going to be a few days for sure.

Day 6 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Tackled my laundry room today! It had some things just sitting collecting dust, and dryer lint. Lots of it. I’m starting to think my laundry room needs a coat of paint and a mini makeover. It’s too white in there. Boy was there a thick layer of dryer dust and random things in there. Follow […]

Day 5 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

This picture doesn’t really do this small area justice. This is simply where my hot water heater lives. It’s a closet with a light and that’s about it. We recently took some left over wood and made shelves in the space so that I could store our bulk items from Costco. One shelve didn’t do […]

Drawers - 40 Bags in 40 Days

Day 4 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

I’m on a role and can I just say how good it feels to declutter and organize your chaos! It’s an awesome feeling once you start getting started and on a path. Today, we started to declutter the drawers in our kitchen. Most of my drawers I couldn’t even open because they were so filled.  […]

Day 3 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Day 3 went over because I needed supplies to organize the pantry better. I hit the Dollar Tree for the stacking smaller bins. Five Below for the large stacking bins which I plan on getting two more of those. I also went to The Container Store to get additional shelves for my over the door […]

Day 2 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Today was kind of a light day. I hit under my sink, which is our cleaning supply area. I placed some shelves in to organize the smaller bottles and sponges. The rubber on my tension bar fell off so I need to replace it to add my second layer of storage. I was able to […]

Day 1 – 40 Bags in 40 Days

Today I started the 40 Bags in 40 Days challenge. It was circulating around Facebook and I was actually thinking about something I could give up for the 40 Days of Lent. I’m not religious but I wanted to challenge myself to set a goal and stick with it. I was planning on giving up […]

The Anti-Social Campus #VZWBuzz

Disclosure: As member of a pretty cool team of influencers, the #VZWBuzz Team, I received the Sol Republic Relay Headphones from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise a positive review. All opinions are my own. So I’ve discovered a few things upon heading back to school. Being a non-traditional older student you […]

JaMonkey Park

Year in Review 2013

It was a great year! I achieved some of my goals and have big plans for next year.  January – We made yummy Raspberry Frozen Yogurt and a copy cat Chicken Quesadilla Flatbread Melt. Peanut learned how to walk. I was prepping for the Super Bowl because the Atlanta Falcons were wicked close to going. Too bad […]

Christmas Eve Pajama Gift Box

We decided to do the Christmas Eve PJ box with my kids this year. We only put a set of PJs, some hot chocolate and a Christmas book to read before bed in the box. That way they aren’t hyped up before heading to bed for the evening! The kids love to read so they […]

Elf Magic

Share the Elf Magic Tradition with Your Family

We love Elf Magic! We started the tradition a few years ago when JaMonkey became old enough. We’ve captured our Elfcapades over the years on Instagram. My daughter loves her Elf Magic Elf Lily, so when a new elf arrived at our house for Peanut it was twice the fun and twice the magic.  The elves are […]

Going Back To School

So I took a leap and applied to the local University. I actually didn’t think I’d get in and that I’d have to go to the small tech school and transfer in. I’m so excited and nervous but this is going to be awesome. I’m officially a college student again. I start in January! I […]

Hold Still #ww

Getting little ones to hold still for a photo is hard. But when they do…it’s so sweet.

St. Augustine Lighthouse

Enjoying St. Augustine

Last week, I visited St. Augustine for a media trip and it was amazing. I was able to ditch the 30 degree weather in Georgia for short sleeves and the sand of Florida. It was far too cold in Georgia for fall, including a sudden frost killing off the rest of our Spring garden. I […]

It’s Black Friday, Not Thanksgiving! – Boycott Black Thursday

Last year I wrote an open letter to Walmart expressing my “concern” over them starting their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving day, Thursday. It was something that gained national attention, I was asked to talk about it on a radio talk show and I discovered that a lot of the country is still very upset […]
