My husband doesn’t always have time to come home and eat lunch with us and he is notorious about leaving his lunch in the fridge. But he is under a strict budget of how much he can spend for the month on lunches while he is at work. Which isn’t much. So he utilizes the McDonald’s Dollar menu to grab a full meal quick!
His #1 go to item on the Dollar Menu is the McDouble. Two 100% beef patties simply seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, a slice of melty American cheese and topped with tangy pickles, minced onions, ketchup and mustard. Before I was on my diet this was my go to snag as well. I scrounge up all the change in my car to feed my burger cravings.
There are 8 items on the Dollar Menu:
- Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger
- McDouble
- McChicken
- Side Salad
- Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait
- Sweet Tea
- Vanilla cone
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
Gotta love choices. About as much as I love saving money!

Believe it or not, my son doesn’t like McDonalds, so I rarely eat there. I do love their fries! And the grilled onion cheddar burger sounds good, right now.
We have an McDonald’s up the street but we cut back on going.

Mc Donalds has always been out go to fast food until they started posting how much calories is in each meal MY Goodness I tend to pass on everything and just get the kids nuggets

I am not a big fan of fast food but i LOVE McDonald’s ice cream cones! I must talk about them a lot because even though that’s the only thing I eat from there, I have gotten 2 Klout perks from McDonald’s. LOL!
I wish they would be the nuggets back on the $1 menu. I ALWAYS go for the sweet tea though.. yummmmm
