I’m in Love with Alight.com @AlightCom

Alight.com recently sent me a very nice dress to check out. I’m a HUGE Maxi Dress fan right now because they are the only nice dresses that look flattering on me. (Most of the time) The dress they sent me was a flowy blue cotton halter top Maxi dress. Now if you’ve seen me in person you know I’m a little “top heavy” and I really can’t go out of the house without something holding the girls up because I might fall over. So although this dress is very nice it wasn’t the right fit for my body type.I’m too big for too much skin…lol

I will say however that there are some great fashions on this website. I’m so excited about Sweater season because the super long Sweater dresses and shirts are going to be my new best friend this year! With a growing belly I need to be able to get into something instead of the same 5 shirts. Maternity stores cater more towards the thin and preggers but I’m Plus Sized and Pregnant this go around so it’s going to be much harder.

Most of my pregnancy will be in the cold so I’ve got to find a way to cover this already big bump! It’s crazy to me that with second+ pregnancies you start showing and typically have worse symptoms then your first. The dress goes well with my PSI Bands wouldn’t you say? It might be my new Baby Bump Picture taker outfit…lol

Where you Plus Sized and Pregnant? If so I’d love to hear where you shopped.

Alight.com sent me the dress in the photo to review for their website. All opinions are my own (obviously)

I’m not much of a long sleeved person I normally where shirts and an open sweater that I can peel off. But I’ll have to try it with a shirt underneath and see how it goes.

This is a really pretty dress. I would pair it with a sweater over the top to keep warm (but that may just be because I can’t feel my fingers right now – this office is SO cold!). Super cute dress!

I think the dress is flattering on you, but definitely agree with needing support up top. I was plus size with both my pregnancies, and shopped both Old Navy and Gap. The pants had adjustable waistbands which you find in most children’s clothing. Plus their prices are affordable, but the only setback is you have to purchase online due to them not carrying specialty items, so a cloth measuring tape may be useful to find the correct size.
