I can say these things to you because we have a freedom of speech. I know that the US isn’t going to come hunting down the JaMonkey blogger in order to silence my new age open mindedness. Unfortunately other countries don’t have that luxury.

I’ll be honest, as an American, I don’t understand how anyone can take their freedom of speech for granted. Maybe it’s because I have had so many family members in the military and married a Marine, but I cherish my rights and privileges that come with being an American!

I think a lot of people forget about how important our freedoms are. They just take it for granted. I hate when people throw around the, “I can because it’s a free country.” They really don’t get what being free means. Thank you for reminding us.
