Sometimes you need a little protein boost with your snack or even in the morning. I made this yummy protein-packed spread that you can put on anything really, but it is really good on fruit. The best part is that you may already have everything you need already. Four simple ingredients and you can store it in small batches in the refrigerator to use when you want it.
You can make this spread with any kind of nut butter, but I decided to use Justin’s Maple Almond Butter. I like using almond butter for all kinds of dips, especially with carrots. Mix it with a great plain greek yogurt like Stonyfield and it becomes so easy to spread. Justin’s has lots of great nut butters. Their Chocolate Hazelnut Spread is my favorite because it doesn’t have the crazy amount of sugar in it like the other popular brand does. My kids love their snack packs.
After I had made the spread, I put it on a waffle sandwich that was filled with kiwi and strawberries and ate it for breakfast. Can you say yummy!?
I’m going to try the spread on some apples like I usually would eat peanut butter and granola. This would also make a GREAT dip for your next party. We always have a fruit and veggie tray when guests come over, and this spread would be gone very fast.
