I’m always on the look out for great workbooks and fun apps that are available for Pre-Schoolers. Here in Georgia it’s hard to find a Preschool or get into one so some students have to stay home until Kindergarten. But in order for them to start Kindergarten they need to be able to pass the exam. So teaching your child at home on the side helps give your child a jump on that learning curve.
I recently discovered a great company that has a great collection of products like books and apps that you can download to your iPhone and iPad. Big JaMonkey will be starting Preschool this year so when she is bored sitting around the hospital while I am feeding the Lil’ JaMonkey we bring out the Preschool Workbook. She is able to practice simple tracing that gets her ready for writing. She colors with the required colors. It keeps her busy for hours and it makes me happy because she’s learning.
The book is pretty big too so it’s one that she won’t fill the book in one day. We love this book though. We are getting great use out of it. The cartoon characters are fun and colorful. Products range from Preschool to Sixth Grade so School Zone grows with your child. With Workbooks, Flashcards, Apps, Games and Puzzles you could do some great homeschooling as well with your children.

Cool. My daughter is turning 5 this year and we’ll be traveling and “roadschooling” I’ve been thinking about rather I really want to encourage a lot of paper or not during this stage in her education. I’m thinking some chalk, dry/erase boards and just a little bit of paper. I already probably have all the paper we need, since I stocked up a lot the past year, and I got small, portable dry erase boards, but I want to get bigger ones.
