Man, I can’t believe the girls went back to school today! The girls were so ready to head off to school though. As per tradition, I asked them about what they were excited about and what they wanted to be when they grow up. Here is what they had to say.

Today, Squish heads off to Kindergarten. This is the first year that she gets to ride the school bus and go through the lunch line. It’s the first “official” school year for her and she has been talking about how excited she is since before Preschool ended. Riding the bus was the main thing she was excited about.

You may remember this little gem….

and now I’m ugly crying because that seemed like just yesterday. She loved waiting for her sister to get off the bus. We’ve been doing it since JaMonkey started riding her Kindergarten year. Now it’s her turn to ride like her sister and it’s a special day! JaMonkey starts 4th grade this year. This kid is borderline tween for sure but she loves to learn new things. She loves all the nerdy shows that we love to watch like How Stuff Works and Earth. Every time we get into the car she starts singing. I can’t really tell what she is singing because she sings low and throaty and when I ask her she says nothing. So my husband suggested that she starts writing her songs down in a notebook and she liked that idea. I guess she liked it enough to change career paths again. There has been a lot of imagination play of America’s Got Talent and Golden Buzzer’s going off.

It’s going to be a great school year!
