Let freedom ring! One of Atlanta’s favorite summer traditions, Lenox Square’s Legendary Fourth of July, is set to return with a star-spangled bang! For over half a century, Lenox Square has celebrated Independence Day in grand tradition with patriotic activities for the entire family. At over 10,000 fireworks, the show has grown in scope and scale to become one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast. This year’s activities will include a 15-minute fireworks show, musical entertainment and food concessions. Everyone is invited to experience the city’s time-honored tradition and celebrate as Lenox Square lights up the sky on the Fourth of July!
Beginning at 6 p.m., a diverse lineup of live musical entertainment will kick-off at the main stage including the following:
- 6 p.m. – Jimmy Buffet tribute band Sons of Sailors opens the show
- 7:45 p.m. – Headliner Party On The Moon, a party band playing the latest in current dance, classic rock, disco/funk, swing, R&B, standards, Motown and new country. One of the most in-demand party bands in the country, Party on the Moon has played at President Obama’s Inauguration Ball and New York Giants quarterback and Super Bowl champion Eli Manning’s wedding.
Parking: Due to street and highway closures, MARTA is the preferred and easiest means of transportation to and from the event. On the Doraville line, exit at the “Lenox” station; on the North Springs line, exit at the “Buckhead” station.
Again this year, paid parking for $10 will be in place at Lenox Square. In addition, for $20, patrons can access VIP Parking, which is in immediate proximity of the festivities, and offers priority event departure assisted by the Atlanta Police Department. Simon Rewards Platinum Members will receive free VIP Parking for the evening. A portion of the proceeds from parking fees will be donated to the Simon Youth Foundation.

On Monday, July 4, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and the Dunwoody Crier Newspaper will host the annual Fourth of July Parade featuring marching bands, floats, clowns, animal units and local celebrities. Last year the parade attracted over 2,500 participants and 32,000 spectators!
The parade route is two (2) miles, starting at the intersection of Mount Vernon Road and Jett Ferry Road at 9:00 a.m., proceeds west on Mount Vernon Road to Dunwoody Village, turns right onto Dunwoody Village Parkway.
Viewing Information:
Parade spectators are encouraged to setup chairs along Mount Vernon Road and Dunwoody Village Parkway (up to the shops on the right and the parade entrance into Dunwoody Village.) Spectators will be blocked from viewing the parade on the east side of Jett Ferry Road on Mount Vernon Road due to the staging and setup for parade participants. Viewing will start on the west side of Jett Ferry Road onMount Vernon Road.

Join the City of Lilburn as we celebrate July 4th with Sparkle in the Park. This annual event in Lilburn City Park will include live music with GLOW, a variety of food, children’s activities, and of course, fireworks!
Event Schedule (subject to change):
- 5:30 p.m. Event begins. Balloon artists and family photos will be available at no cost, while supplies last, until 9:30 p.m. Food trucks/vendors and bounce house tickets will be available for purchase.
- 7:30 p.m. GLOW will take the stage with their high-energy, family-friendly concert.
- 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin with patriotic musical accompaniment.
- 10:00 p.m. Event ends and park closes.
Parking:
- Air-conditioned shuttles will transport attendees from parking lots at the Nam Dae Mun Farmers Market, Lilburn Middle School, the lot at Young and Church Streets, and the lot at Poplar Street and Killian Hill.
- Park pick-up/drop-off point is one block from Lilburn City Park.
- Accessible parking will be reserved at City Hall.
- Main Street will be closed from 9 – 10:30 p.m. to allow for safe passage of pedestrians from Lilburn City Park following the fireworks. Those parked around City Hall will be routed down Poplar Street to Killian Hill Road or down Camp Creek Road to Arcado Road.
What to bring:
- Lawn chairs or blankets are recommended. Tents not allowed.
- Coolers are allowed and are subject to search. No outside alcohol allowed. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the event and in the Old Town hospitality zone.
- Due to the large crowd and fireworks, it is recommended that pets not be brought to the event.
- No outside fireworks.

July 4: Fourth in the Park, 10 am to 10 pm;
Grab your American flag, put on your red, white and blue, and celebrate America’s independence on July 4th, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. with the City of Marietta. Start the day with an Independence Day parade and celebration on the Square presented by Superior Plumbing, free live concerts, an arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and the City of Marietta fireworks finale.
Throughout the day, more than 80,000 people are expected to celebrate on the Square with great food, fun activities, the best arts and crafts around, and free entertainment from Zach Seabaugh, a hometown boy who was a finalist on the hit television show, The Voice. His popularity continues to flourish as he begins performing to growing audiences on bigger stages. Opening for Seabaugh is Presley Sullivan, a featured artist on 94.9 The Bull’s Backyard Country. Concerts are presented by 94.9 The Bull.
Parade
The Marietta Independence Day parade is scheduled to include more than 115 entries with more than 40 floats and approximately 2,000 participants. Entries include marching units from the City f Marietta, civic organizations, beauty queens, scouts and local businesses. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Roswell Street Baptist Church and travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and ends at North Marietta Parkway.
Crafts, food and carnival
- Arts and crafts show with nearly 100 unique handcrafted vendors: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Food concessions: Anything to please the palate from ice products to cool you down to corndogs and BBQ to satisfy your appetite. 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

The City of Marietta Fireworks
The City of Marietta fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. and will be shot from the First United Methodist Church parking lot. If bad weather is expected, the fireworks may begin a few minutes early, to ensure the entire display is completed. If you want to watch the fireworks, make sure you get there early to grab a spot because traffic is expected to be heavy.
Newnan
The Fourth of July Parade will begin at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m., and will end at Greenville Street Park between 9:30- 10:00 a.m. Main Street Newnan welcomes the community to meet at Veteran’s Memorial Park by 8:30 a.m. Registration is not necessary for participants unless they intend to use any type of motorized vehicle to pull a float. There is also no registration fee to participate. Main Street Newnan requests that all registration forms be submitted at least one week before the parade. The Newnan Rotary club will also host festivities on the evening of July 4th. Please join us at 5:30 p.m., at Drake Stadium for family fun and fireworks until dark. Admission is free, and concessions will be available for purchase at 6 p.m. Traditional holiday fare will be on hand with hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks. There will be musical entertainment, and other attractions provided for children along with free souvenirs for the kids to take home. Official sponsors for this event are: the City of Newnan, Coweta County, Coweta County Schools and The Rotary Club of Newnan. Free parking for the parade is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
Norcross

Downtown Historic Norcross is having a Pre-Fourth of July block party! We’re closing down S. Peachtree St, and filling it with inflatables for the kids (minimal fees apply) plus local eateries and vendors are selling food and libations you can walk around town with and enjoy. Live music begins in Lillian Webb Park at 6pm with “Maxwell Taylor, Man of 1000 Voices” then at 7pm, Bruce in the USA (Springsteen tribute band) takes the stage! Bring chairs early and grab the best spot (there’s lots of room) – no tents or glass containers, but coolers are welcome. Then at dusk, the skies will light up with an awesome fireworks display that will get your patriotism pumped! Still in the mood to party after that? Step into our local downtown hotspots and enjoy more live music and libations – the night is young and it’s time to CELEBRATE!!

- Downtown Powder Springs is the place to be on July 4th. The fun begins at 6 p.m. The festivities will end with a spectacular fireworks show. This event is free and open to the public. Games, inflatables, vendors, and food will also be available throughout the celebration.
Roswell
The City of Roswell will once again host a huge community celebration of our nation’s Independence Day at the annual 4th of July Extravaganza, which will take place on Monday, July 4 at Sweet Apple Elementary School.
Please note this is a location change from its originally scheduled location at Roswell High School.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy giant inflatables, carnival games, food trucks, face painting, and other family-friendly activities. Live music will begin at 6 p.m. with the Last Call Band, and then Banks and Shane will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks will begin at dark.

July 4th Spectacular
Parade has a new route. Our huge parade kicks off the celebration at 10am. The parade starts at Woodstock Elementary on Rope Mill Road. It then travels down Main Street to Sam’s Club on Hwy 92.
After the parade join us in The Park at City Center until 3pm for food, live music in the gazebo, children’s games, cake walk, arts and crafts, Adam the Juggler, and vendors of all types. Fun for everyone!
The day concludes with fireworks at dusk behind the Target Shopping Center at Hwy 92 and I-575.
