Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It jump starts your metabolism for the rest of the day ahead. So it’s important to have a good filling breakfast to help start your day off right. Here are 5 healthy breakfast options to fuel your morning.
Some of these options I like to combine (like 1 and 2) but if you’re trying to cut calories you can separate them.
1. Stonyfield Greek and Chia with Gluten Free Granola – 200 calories with three delicious red berries and plump, hydrated chia seeds mixed in with delicious greek yogurt. Chia seeds are packed with dietary fiber and omega- 3 fatty acids. They are also a great source of protein in vegetarians and vegans.
2. Multi-grain English Muffin with peanut butter and banana – 242 calories We make our own peanut butter at home so we cut out any salt, sugar and preservatives. Add in a banana to add some sweet. The peanut butter adds a great protein punch to start your day.
3. Steel Cut Oatmeal – 340 calories. Steel cut oatmeal preserves some of the nutrients in the oats. Pair it with strawberries, pecans and little cinnamon for a yummy breakfast that will keep you fuller longer.
4. Eggs and Avocado – 279 calories. I love avocados. They melt like butter in your mouth. Pair them with egg whites (whole eggs makes this meal 385 calories), reduced fat feta cheese, avocado and a flour tortilla for a yummy breakfast burrito.
Great ideas! Plus I love the Wonder Woman coffee cup;)
