Halloween Yogurt Covered Pretzels

I made a cute little treat for the girls the other day. I thought a little Halloween snack would be fun to munch on after school one day. I made yogurt covered pretzels from a recipe on Stonyfield’s website. Using food coloring and some Unreal Candy I turned them into some spooky characters. We made pumpkins, goblins, and ghosts.

I separated the mix into three bowls and colored each one differently. One is green for the little goblins. They could also be considered aliens too. You can use any color for the eyes and they look cute. I think the pumpkins I made came out the best because I used the copper color from Wilton. I used the dark green Unreal Candy Coated Chocolates. I left some white so that I cover make little ghosts as well. There are black ones in the bag so they made the perfect eyes for the ghosts.

I love Unreal candy, they have one of the best start-up stories.

One morning after trick-or-treating, Nicky woke up to find that his dad had confiscated most of his candy. Frustrated, Nicky set out to prove that candy isn’t that bad for you. But he only proved himself wrong. After a lot of research, Nicky learned that, stuff like partially hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, GMOs, chemical preservatives and loads of sugar, aren’t there to make it taste better. They help make it cheaper to produce and last longer on shelves. Nicky had a hunch that without the junk, candy could taste even better. And, if this were true, the big companies would pay attention and change their ingredients. So, with the help of his older brother, Kris, and his dad, he set out to test this idea.

I just love stories like this! Not to mention that their candy is so yummy. I prefer to give my kids Unreal Candy over any of the national brands.
