I know what you’re thinking, A Good Night’s Sleep? Really Meghan? You have a new baby at home. But it’s true. Sleep Number sent me their new Sleep Number® AirFit™ Adjustable Pillow with CoolFit™ Foam because they thought I might need some sleep. Yeah, it’s that obvious, even online. To my delight, I’m actually getting it.
Now I was skeptical at first because I thought to myself, Can a pillow really help me sleep better? It must be pretty special. Well, it is.
Like the Sleep Number bed that allows you to adjust your comfort level by adjusting the air, the AirFit Pillow is also adjustable. There is a small valve in the corner of the pillow that you can unscrew to allow the air to flow freely out of it so that it automatically adjusts as you move in the night. You can also place your head on the pillow and once you reach the level of comfort you close the valve to hold it for your comfort. I also selected the CoolFit Foam pillow which is Gel-infused memory foam for a cooler, more comfortable sleeping temperature.
I’ve been sleeping on it for a few nights now and it’s amazing. I used to sleep with two pillows to give me enough support but with the Sleep Number® AirFit™ Adjustable Pillow with CoolFit™ Foam I only need it. It’s like the pillow breathes. I place my head on the pillow and it exhales to the proper position. When I’m up nursing the baby I close the valve to give me a firm pillow to lean up against.
The other thing I noticed about my sleeping is that I no longer toss and turn. When I lay down that’s the same position I’m waking up in when it’s time for a 4 am feeding. 0_O
I may not be getting 8 hours of sleep yet but when this baby starts sleeping through the night without eating I’ll be right there with her snoozing on my super comfy pillow.
Here is a video I did to show you a closer look and hear it “breathing.”
I received a free Sleep Number® AirFit Adjustable Pillow to review from Select Comfort / Sleep Number for this post.
