A Great Transitioning Carseat for Your Little Ones
I’m not a big fan of having to buy all new baby gear every year to fit my child’s needs. I’d much rather buy an all in one type product that grows with my child. Both of my girls have 3-in-1 car seats because of this. We were sent the new Evenflo Platinum Evolve 3-in-1 Combination Seat to try out, and so far it’s been a handy addition to our car. It has some great new features that are especially great for families that live in the South like I do, where it gets blazing hot during the Summer months.
The seat has 3 modes in 1: Harness, Belt-Positioning, No Back
5 Point Harness: 22-65 lbs.
Belt Positioning: 40-120 lbs.
No-Back: 40-120 lbs.
The Platinum Evolve has OUTLAST® Performance Fabric around the whole seat. You can tell just from the first touch how breathable and light it is. It’s designed to absorb the hot and cold away from your child and to release it if it needs to. It also has buckle pockets that tuck away buckle tongues to protect against hot buckle burns and make it easier to get children in and out of the seat without having to dig around underneath them.
You can see from the picture below that there is a fantastic neck support area if you are using the car seat with the back on it. This is the e3 Side Impact Protection that features a large zone of protection to reduce side-impact crash forces up to 50%.
We use the seat as a booster seat for my oldest with the back taken off. She’s quite tall, but she still doesn’t fit into the seatbelt properly, so I feel better knowing that this puts her right at the proper height.
It was incredibly easy to remove it too, you just click one button and pull them apart. The straps slide out easily and the cushion does as well, making for easy cleaning.
I like the large cup holders built into the seat as well. It’s great for holding a snack cup and a drink cup for those lengthy trips.
There is a rubber backing on the bottom of the car seat to help stop it from slipping on the seat. This is handy if you have cloth seats.
