Some of you may not know the other side of my blogging life. I actually have another site called Atlanta Moms on the Move and it’s a free resource for parents to find things to do, events and family travel around Metro Atlanta. Since it’s a local site I do a lot in the community to let other parents know that it’s available to them. So I needed a good vinyl banner to take to events and trade shows but for a site that barely makes any money budgets are tight.
Then I learned about BuildASign – Custom Signs to Let The World Know. They have banner starting at only $16. They have other products as well like magnets, bumper stickers and every type of sign you can think of. So if you are trying to promote your blog or small business this is a great way to do it on a budget.
The process was extremely simple. I created a custom sign so I uploaded my logo and put in some wording that I thought would catch some eyes and hit send. I was contacted by the art department almost immediately that my logo was going to be fuzzy and they walked me through the process of enhancing it so that it would be large print quality. They were fantastic and so helpful.
When the banner arrived I was beyond impressed. I was scared that it wasn’t going to be top quality considering the great price. But I was blown away. I actually took a picture of it and sent it to everyone in my family. (They are proud of my blogging.) It has sturdy rings to hang wherever I need to. It’s the perfect size to roll up and throw in the trunk without it taking up a lot of space.
The best part about my experience with BuildASign was how many people strolled past my booth at a recent trade show and as they were walking past I noticed them reading my sign. They turned around and came back to my table! This banner helped me reach hundred’s of new readers that subscribed to my site. That’s amazing.
