You know that time of the year that makes you cringe? Open enrollment time. I hate the amount of paperwork I have to read through just to select a good plan. It’s the epitome of adulting. When my husband comes home with that stack of paperwork (or in our case, emails) to try and figure out which plan is the best choice for us and whether or not we need to max out our FSA (Flex Spending Account) for the year is a pain.
That is why UnitedHealthcare created a handy website to help consumers learn about terminology and other helpful ways to learn about healthcare plans. It will better prepare you about all the healthcare jargon no matter where you have your health insurance. You don’t have to be a UnitedHealthcare customer to participate in the challenge or the giveaway. The challenges only take about 5-10 minutes to complete. 
The website has two sections, the first one tests your knowledge to see how much of a health plan pro you are. By answering some multiple choice questions, doing some matching, and sliding the premium coverage slider, you can test your knowledge. The correct answers are given to you so that you learn along the way. At the end, you’ll be entered into a weekly $100 drawing and monthly drawing of $500! The contest runs until November 30th so you can enter a few times!

In the “Are You a Health Plan Pro?” section you can do some drag and drop matching the different savings accounts to the proper definition. I thought I knew all of these but I had two of them mixed up. All are very handy, especially if your employer offers them. The coverage slider educates you on balancing the amount you want to pay in premium with the coverage you’ll get. They put it into real life scenarios (Single mother of 2 vs. working couple) so that you can visualize better. 
There is also a fun crossword puzzle that you can do to enter another giveaway. They give you helpful hints to walk you through it. You could win $100 weekly and $500 monthly!
