Back to School Supply Drive Game @BGCA_Clubs #Tools4BTS

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

slider_supplydriveHave you ever wanted to help kids in need with extra school supplies but didn’t know where to begin? Well Disney, a long time partner, is sponsoring to help give 40,000 supply kits to kids in need. This great program is really simple to participate in. Plus, you’ll learn some fun things about the Boys & Girls Club along the way.

Each year, 1 million students fail to graduate high school. That’s why programs like the BGCA are so great for our youth. You can help donate great supply kits to students by playing a simple trivia game by visiting www.greatfutures.org/backtoschool! For every five correct answers, a donation of supplies will be made!

Some fun facts to help you give during this drive.

  • BGCA started it’s first club in 1860. That’s more than 150 years!
  • The first club was in Hartford, Conn.
  • One of BGCA missions is to offer Homework help for students.
  • Another mission is health and life skills.
  • Three out of every 10 students in America’s public schools fail to finish high school with a diploma
  • BGCA Alumni consist of Grammy, Oscar, Olympic Medalists, and even former presidents!
  • 295,000 Volunteers help with students over the year.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs annually serve nearly 4 million young people, through membership and community outreach, in some 4,000 Club facilities throughout the country and BGCA-affiliated Youth Centers on U.S. military installations worldwide.
  • Former President Herbert Hoover served on the board of governors.
  • 15.1 million students are left alone and unsupervised after school.

The BGCA website also offers a plethora of educational content for parents as they prepare to send children back to school! We read good books about starting Kindergarten. We also talked about it a lot before she was even done with Preschool. Buying school supplies together is another great way to get your kids excited about school. They get to pick out their favorite colors and characters. But for those kids that can’t it will be so great getting a supplies kit from Disney and the Boys & Girls Club of America. It only takes a few minutes and I just gave you most of the answers! Go now www.greatfutures.org/backtoschool

  1. I played the trivia game a couple of times – and learned a lot. I always knew BGCA was an amazing organization, but I learned a lot more about what they do from this simple trivia game… and helped (hopefully) a couple of kids along the way.

  2. We like to try and help out with charities that do school supply drives too. It’s so expensive to buy everything that’s needed and if we can help out a student so they can do well in school, well that’s great!
