I have the hardest time getting enough protein some days. But I prefer eating at least one item of lean protein each day to feel better. Except I’m crazy busy and that normally means that I only get it during dinnertime. In fact, most American’s consume almost all (about two-thirds) of their daily protein during dinnertime. I made this yummy Beef and Cream Cheese Bagelwich as part of The Beef Checkoff’s 30 Day Protein Challenge that I’m starting. Protein helps you avoid that hungry feeling , giving you more control over the foods you choose.

The other day I made one of the Beef recipes I found on the challenge page. It was an interesting combination of flavors that I wouldn’t have thought to put together before. I’m a sucker for capers too so I was excited to try this Beef and Cream Cheese Bagelwich. Find the complete recipe here.  It’s was like having a gourmet sandwich for lunch. My husband tried some too and requested that I make it for him at work one day. Beef and Cream Cheese Bagelwich

Added a little protein into your meals can help boost your mood throughout the day. This 30 Day Challenge can be started at any time. You can also check out the 30 Day Challenge page to sign up for daily or weekly emails to walk you through the challenge. There are also great tools and recipes that you can make as well. You can keep track of your food, hunger and moods to see how it can make a difference in your overall health and wellness for 30 days and beyond.

Research shows spreading protein intake evenly throughout the day may be the most beneficial for overall health and wellness.

My hair started growing really fast about the time I started getting extra protein each day. She explained to me the science behind hair and how it is made of protein so if you are getting more, your hair will be healthier and grow faster. Anyways, I thought it was a fun fact so I thought I’d mention it. tools-challenge-calendar

    Firebird
    really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
    Sunrise on the Reaping
    it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
    Some Like It Scot
    liked it
This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
    My Demon Hunter
    really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
