We Threw a Best Summer Ever Party

This post is part of the HEALTHY ESSENTIALS® 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

A few weeks ago I hosted the Best Summer Ever party thanks to Target and Johnson & Johnson and it was like no other! It was our way of breaking in our new patio makeover and welcoming. We broke out the water toys and plenty to drink. We had all the Summer Essentials for the kids including Neutrogena sunscreen, Bandaids and Neosporin. We sent everyone home with a pouch for themselves to have a safe summer with their families. Best Summer Ever Party

I love this Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids sunscreen, it never fails that my kids jump into the water before I have a chance to get the sunscreen on them. This is the only one that I can cover them with even if they are wet. A mom must have thought of that, I’m sure of it.
Best Summer Ever PartyThe kids had a blast with some Nerf Super Soakers, bubbles and we picked up a fun new sprinkler at Target that the kids could run through. The beach ball and the inflatable surfboard got tossed around too.

We broke out the mini pool to go with our sprinkler and the kids used the slide like it was a water park! It’s amazing the imagination and the giggles that came from these little ones. It really was such a fun time. Splashing in the Pool

After a good run around in the water and yard the kids had a picnic in the grass with hamburgers and hotdogs. What’s a summer party without hamburgers and hotdogs? IMG_0395

The same can be said for s’mores, I think summer and s’mores go hand in hand. I think I could live off s’mores.

We made sure to keep the kiddos hydrated. The adults too 😉 My husband normally takes care of that with his beer making hobby.SONY DSC

You can tell my little one has light skin like mine so we tend to burn very easily. I can’t leave the house without slathering her down with sunscreen. I keep some in each of my bags and car so I never forget it. It was a great get together and everyone said they had a blast. Best Summer Ever PartyNow through August 16, visit www.yourbestsummer.com to play a virtual soccer game, share your score and take a shot at instantly winning a $200 Target eGiftCard. 1. Oh my GOODNESS, those s’mores are killing me!! I always forget to put sunscreen on the kids and have to pull them out of the water to get them protected. I totally agree, a Mom must have thought of this,
