Blog Forward Update

This is a letter to myself for the Blog Forward challenge from Zone Perfect. Although they have sent me product, all views are my own. As always.

The Blog Forward challenge is a way to make smart resolutions and then stick with them. Lots of bloggers are taking this challenge along with me to keep themselves on track throughout the year. Checking in on ourselves in a few months to make sure we are still on track. This is a first quarter check in.

I had three goals that I made at the beginning of the year. Putting school first, saving money, and eating better. So far two of the three, I’m nailing! This year I went back to school and for my first semester back I passed all my classes and am holding a 3.6 GPA. Super proud of myself for that one. This summer I’ll be switching to online classes so I’m a little nervous because there is something about being in a classroom that just help people (myself especially) learn better. The next goal was about saving money so that we could pay off some debts. We had a plan going for this but somewhere along the line it seemed to disappear. I was able to pay off some hospital bills but I started spending when I shouldn’t have been so I need to get back on track for that one. The last thing I wanted to do was make better choice when it came to food. I like food, a lot and it’s something I think I will always struggle with. But I put Zone Perfect bars in my bag for school and didn’t eat out each day. The Zone Perfect bars held me over until I could get home which helped me from hitting a drive through and spending excess money. My letter has reminded me to get back on the ball with saving money.

One thing I’ve just started was cutting gluten. My friend @SeriousKrystn had to cut gluten and dairy while nursing her little one, there are also lots of people that I heard the same thing from when it came to gluten. You just feel better. So I promised myself that I would try it for a couple weeks to see how I feel. It’s been good so far (I’m in 4 days) We’ve been to a few expos and grabbed some gluten free snacks along the way. The Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple bars are all gluten free and they are my favorites out of all of them. They keep me charged up during the day and when I’m go, go going all summer long!

I want you to be charged up this summer too so I want to send you this super awesome Zone Perfect mini charger. So you always have a little juice when you’re out and about playing Camp Mom with your kids this summer.

  • I love these quick easy snacks & I also I love these little portable chargers. Great for emergencies. I have one and used it to charge my phone while I was out on a hiking trail.

    Firebird
    really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
    Sunrise on the Reaping
    it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
    Some Like It Scot
    liked it
This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
    My Demon Hunter
    really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
