Bring home The Upside, a touching true story

I love a good story about friendship. The Upside shares the story of Dell, a paroled ex-convict played by Kevin Hart and a quadriplegic billionaire named Phillip played by Bryan Cranston and how they became unlikely friends.

The Upside is available on Digital now and Blu-ray/DVD May 21st.

There have been multiple foreign versions of the film, but The Upside is the Americanized version of the real-life story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo and Abel Sellou. Both have written memoirs about their relationship and the two remain close to this day.

While The Upside does take on class and race between these two friends, the chemistry between Hart and Cranston are what make this story charming. They are both helping each other on the next journey of their lives. They need each other in different ways.

Nicole Kidman also plays a key role in Phillip’s life. I love how her character also has a path that intertwines in this story.

Here is what you can expect from the bonus features.
