Thank you UBTECH for sponsoring this post. JIMU Robots are a fun way to bring robotics into kid’s day to day and make the perfect gift you can feel good about gifting to the children in your lives this holiday season!

We really love building things together as a family. But putting together puzzles means you have to tear them apart when you are done. The new age of puzzles has kids building robots that they can code and move around.

You know we love S.T.E.M. learning so we were so excited to check out the JIMU Robot Overdrive Kit. The Overdrive Kit can be built into a DozerBot or a DirtBot, your kids are also able to free build with the 410 snap together parts. This kit is pretty awesome because it has two smooth motion robotic servo motors and two DC motors. My favorite aspect is the ultrasonic sensor with RGB light.JIMU Robot Overdrive Kit

I like that the JIMU robot is more advanced than other engineering sits. It’s geared towards kids over 8 years old. We spent a lot of time building and the app has an amazing 3D step by step directions to help your child during the building process. Of course, they could just free build and engineer something totally new. We’ve never worked with a set that has moving parts before so it was a real treat.

Unlike regular puzzles that you just look at, after building this puzzle you get to code and play with it. We started building together as a family. I would flip through the instructions while my youngest help me pick out the parts and hand them to her sister to build. JIMU Robot Overdrive Kit

After you build the JIMU robot it’s time to code it. The JIMU app allows you to make your robot do all sorts of things from moving to lighting up in different colors. The JIMU robot connects via Bluetooth and you can even use the app to control its motions live like an RC car. JIMU robot overdrive kit

The JIMU App also has a learning tab with games and lessons. When you are done building your robot, snap a picture of your creation and share it with the JIMU community. I think this is a great way to keep kids engaged and interested in S.T.E.M. learning when they see the endless possibilities.

JIMU creates all types of different building kits. They also just came out with a cute UnicornBot kit that is simply magical.

JIMU Robots make the perfect gift for all kids this holiday season. Be sure to check out ‘em out at Target!
