This past week the girls went to summer camp and enjoyed Cake Boss camp where they got to bake lots of fun goodies. They also spend the week outside! Lots of sunlight and water time. To finish off the week we celebrated the fun they had and how much I missed them each day with a trip to Swirl World. I mentioned before how much I love taking the girls to Swirl World. There are two within a couple miles from our house so we go…a lot. We are professional Swirlers!
Here is everything you need to make an awesome Summer Swirl at Swirl World
- Start with a cup! – Here in Atlanta, they are running a fun promotion that you can fill a Braves helmet for $5. You can also get a cone, but I will let you in on a little secret. You can’t fill those will all the best toppings! Snag a cup and fill ‘er up!
- Find your blend- A solid flavor is great but the center swirl is where it’s at! It blends the two flavors listed together to make a yummy new concoction. Make use of the testers and be sure though. Choosing the best ice cream or sorbet flavor requires LOTS of testing. Mom always gets the first taste to make sure it’s not poisoned. This step is important.
- Choose the right toppings. It’s a big cup, I’m just saying. Some of my favorite toppings are the Oreo cookies and cookie dough bits. I normally go for the cookie overload. My kids like to go for the gummies. Gummy bears, sour gummy worms, and anything chewy. Don’t forget to get some tasty fruit on there so it’s not complete unhealthy for you. Make sure you help your little ones. Mine like to try and reach in with their hands and eat right off the bar. We keep it classy y’all.
- Sauce it up – Don’t forget to hot fudge or caramel sauce! We like to do that as the finishing touch.
- Enjoy immediately – RaceTrac has redesigned many of their stores. They recently redid one of our RaceTrac’s to include a big outdoor patio with tables and chairs so that you can enjoy your food and rest for a bit. So we went to that one to relax after summer camp.
I can’t wait to hear how you Swirl!

I so love that they have the options for dairy free treats!
Hot Fudge is always my #1 topping. Followed by whipped cream and a cherry on top!
Squish would try to steal your cherry!
Reese’s peanut butter cups are my favorite topping!
There is a nice Race Track near where I work, but I rarely go inside (Pay at the Pump). I’ll have to go in and check out the ice cream!
Gummi bears and gummi worms!!!
Give me all the peanut butter cups and nuts!!!!
I love chocolate sprinkles!
It depends on the type of ice cream – dark chocolate gets mini marshmellows, anything else gets either chocolate syrup or chopped pecans (or both!)
My favorite ice cream topping is brownie pieces with hot fudge.
My favorite topping is caramel. I love that stuff and could eat it plain-but I don’t. I also love adding in some whipped cream too.
I love Heath and Captain Crunch on my fro yo. Meanwhile, our son usually loads up on gummy bears and sprinkles.
my fav ice cream toppings is caramel for me
Ever since I was a kid, I love rainbow sprinkles on my ice cream!
