I’ve finally completed our Children’s Book Inspired Bedroom and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been working on lots of little projects for this room and it’s come together quite nicely. We filmed a video that included our At Home Stores experience and home decor purchases.
Since we filmed that video I picked up a cute Alice in Wonderland duvet cover to finish the room. Other elements in the room include a picture that says I Love You to the Moon and Back. I also hung our The Very Hungry Caterpillar needle felting pictures. These are one of my favorite pieces in the room. The whole design started when I made these. The pictures below don’t do them justice. They are my little 3D masterpieces made completely of wool.
The room also has a dresser that I transformed into a Library Card Catalog. This was a fun IKEA hack that turned out fantastic.
She also has a comfy couch that turns into a sleeper sofa for friends (or big dogs) to snooze on. The last project I did in the room was the Upcycled Headboard that I used chalk paint on. It was a cheap find that I was able to fit into her room perfectly. You can also see the elements that Squishy picked out for her room including the turquoise A, box, and little bird (used as a bookend). We also placed her LED Dream sign on the bed as well.
The sheets are from Target’s Pillowfort line. Constellations sheets and pillow sham. As well as the Dream Big round pillow.
I’m so in love with it. Tell me what you think in the comments below!
