Cirque du Soleil Ovo

I was asked to attend the opening dress rehearsal to the new Cirque du Soleil’s show Ovo. It was amazing, to say the least. They gave us free popcorn and sodas. Along with fun hors d’oeuvres like some yummy dip inside orchids. Artichoke bruschetta that I couldn’t get enough of. When intermission rolled around, they handed out chocolate. YUM!

Ovo means egg in Portuguese. The show is from the perspective of bugs. With fleas, ladybugs, flies spiders and grasshoppers running around. Giant flowers bloom on stage. You’ll laugh and smile the whole show, then your gasp in amazement. I’ve only been to one other Cirque show, and that was Zumanity in Las Vegas, which is NOT for children by any means. It, too, was a fantastic show as well.

I’ve turned into a complete Cirque du Soleil fanatic. If I could travel across the world and blog about every single show they have, I would. I’d love to be their groupie.

It was also a great date night for Hubby and me, kind of. This wasn’t the type of show that he would go to on a regular basis. He’s giving me the whole No crowded places, thing and I’m quite the opposite.  Either way, we got out of the house without the little one.

    Firebird
    really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
    Sunrise on the Reaping
    it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
    Some Like It Scot

This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
    My Demon Hunter
    really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
