The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse trailer was released today along with some images of some of the characters. I have to say, I’m a fan of this animation style. It’s as if the pages of the comic book have come to life for the screen. Check out the trailer and see for yourself.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
Miles is the focus of this Spider-Man movie. I love the interaction he has with his father. If you look closely you can see the images have the comic characteristics with the tiny dots. You can also see flashes of scenes that go completely into full comic book mode. It’s pretty awesome.
He meets Peter Parker and they begin to train together so that Miles can become a proper Spider-Man. It wouldn’t be a party if some of the alternate universes didn’t get involved.
But I’m most excited about seeing Spider-Gwen join the group. She’s one of my favorite Spider-Verse characters.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hits theaters December 14, 2018!
