One of my favorite places that I visit every time I visit the Kissimmee / Orlando area is the Rainforest Cafe. It’s such a fun dinning experience for the whole family to enjoy. The first thing I recommend you do though call ahead and make a reservation. After 5:00pm this place fills up fast! From the moment you walk in you are transported to the Rainforest. Even your Safari Guide (server) is in on it. There are giant tropical fish tanks that you can even walk under. See if you can spot Nemo and Dory in some of the tanks. As you walk to your table you’ll see all the great animals that they have inside. Don’t worry though they are just robots. We got to sit next to the elephants and they like to have conversations with one another every couple of minutes. So do the Gorillas.
Every 20 minutes or so the whole restaurant goes through a big thunder storm. The lights flash like lightening and the thunder sounds. Smaller children might get frightened but it only last a short time. Two of my favorite things about the Rainforest Cafe are the food and the section that looks like you are dinning under the stars. I want to do this in my house! What impressed me about the menu was the selection and options on the children’s menu. There was so much to choose from that my kids actually had trouble picking what they wanted. They also had these fun souvenir cups that you can get for your kids drink to take home after dinner. Make sure you try a fun appetizer, We tried the Spinach Artichoke dip and it was by far the best Spinach & Artichoke dip I’ve ever had and I’ve tried quite a few. There was lots to choose from on the adult menu as well but all I could think about was the Sparkling Volcano. But can you blame me when every time one is ordered the Safari Guides yell it out across the restaurant. Your kids are sure to love everything about the Rainforest Cafe, they can even take something to remember it home with them from their huge gift shop.
