Disney Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story

I love stop motion animation. It’s an art that takes a keen eye and lots of patience. I’ve tried my hand on Vine and even at 6 seconds I couldn’t believe how long it took. So now I manly enjoy watching it instead. Disney Interactive and Google teamed up to launch “Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story,” an original animated short film. It’s an adorable story about a blank, unpainted Vinylmation toy that didn’t make it through the paint shop. He longs to be like the rest with lots of color and design but fails. When he meets Bow, that all changes. She too is blank and they instantly fall in love. But they are torn apart just as quickly. Blank heads out on a journey to find Bow, making amazing friends along the way.

Bow is my favorite in this short film. She tries to show everyone she meets the beauty in themselves. Lifting them up when they need it. I also love the moral at the end. The way I interpreted it was that letting your creativity show is far better than being like all the rest. Stand out in a crowd and be your own person. Stand up for what you believe.  Express yourself and set yourself apart from the crowd. Blankandbow

It was really a sweet short film. I watched it with my 2 year old and despite the fact that there is no talking and only music playing, she watched the entire film with me. I can’t wait to show it to my big kid, I know she will love it too.

Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story is available exclusively in the Google Play store for free. You can view the film online from your computer, or on your Android phone or tablet, or iPhone and iPad through the Google Play Movies & TV app. Go download it! You’ll really love it.

To celebrate the premiere, Google is also inviting fans to share frames from the film with friends and family as digital greeting cards at blankmovie.withgoogle.com. After sharing a frame, guests can unlock a second special film, “Cranes in Love,” created especially for Google users.
