Looking for a fun activity to do with the kids and all those extra crayons you have lying around? This Crayon Flower Picture is a fun way to make an easy but cute picture. It would go perfectly in my daughter room with her new floral dresser.
Supplies:
8″ x 12″ Canvas
Crayola Crayons
Craft or Silk Flowers
Hot Glue Gun
Heat Gun or Hair Dryer
Cover your work surface with newspaper or craft paper
Select the colors you would like to use for your project.
Using a hot glue gun, glue the crayons along the bottom edge of the canvas with the tips facing up.
While the canvas is flat, use a heat gun to melt the tips of the crayons until the wax pools and all the colors touch.
Gently lift the bottom (crayon end) of the canvas and keep at an angle.
Use the heat gun to melt more of the crayon wax and let it run the length of the canvas until you have a few “stems” for the flowers.
Lay the canvas flat until completely dry.
When dry, use the hot glue gun to glue the blossoms on the “stems” of the bouquet.
You can finish the project by gluing a ribbon across the crayons to make it look like a vase.
This is a fun little project your kids can have fun doing. We had so many crayons hiding all over our house we could make a few masterpieces.
