My daughter has just started Kindergarten at her “big girl school” and she gets to ride the bus and take her fun lunches to school with her. This year I’ve cut so much out of the families diet but we also made a lot of changes in the little things that you don’t think about hurting you. No more canned foods, reusable pouches. Certain plastics contain BPA in them, so I wanted to make sure when I was packing her lunches that the plastics weren’t leaching into her food. That’s when I discovered Eco Lunchboxes.
Our stainless steel bentos, lunch boxes & artisan lunchbags are plastic-free, waste-free, BPA-free, PVC-free, petroleum-free andvinyl-free.
I received their Three-In-One Bento Lunchbox and a set of their ECONapkins to review. The napkins come in beautiful hand block printed colors and patterns. They are the perfect size for little faces too. We use fabric napkins at home so she is already familiar with not throwing them away after she uses them.
The Eco Lunchbox itself is my favorite on the market. It has 3 compartments that stack neatly into a compact design. With two clasps on the side that are easy for little hands to get off and open.
The bottom portion is full sized for things like a sandwich or a salad. The top compartment is great for your side dishes. In this case, we used grapes. Then the smallest compartment fits perfectly inside the top compartment and closes tightly for liquid things like condiments or yogurts.
If entire 3-in-1 container fits perfectly into any carrier and if you refrigerate the container overnight it helps to keep it cold longer. I still put an ice pack in the bag just to keep it cool until lunch and I set her drink on top of it as well. But none of her food is touching the insulated bag that she carries.
I don’t have to worry about her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches touching any crazy chemicals. They have other great containers as well but the three-in-one design was the perfect fit for packing lunches for my little one. They even have Eco Sacks and more stainless steel flatware and straws.

I need to pick one of those up! My son doesn’t need to bring a lunch for two more years but it’d be awesome for my husband!
I’ll have to check this out for my son’s lunches!
Those are so cute! Bento boxes definitely make lunches more fun!
Those are totally cute!
Looks durable for your daughter’s delicious lunches. We have BPA-free lunch boxes this year too.
I love Bento lunch boxes! I have several plastic ones (BPA-free), one for every member of the family. We never use anything else for school / work lunches.
I thinks these are Greeeatt! My daughter has a hello kitty lunch bag and loves it. But I would like to try one of these too. It just looks like they would last longer.
Love these! We threw out the plastic long ago but have been suffering with glass. Not awesome for a kindergartener. These look perfect!! Thanks!
Yes glass would scare me. And it can be heavier to make it more sturdy.
Wow this sounds great!! If my kid carried lunch I would so use this.
Love the stainless steel bento box, it looks so sophisticated. I’d buy that for myself
We’ve been gradually switching over to sustainable lunch box storage as well. Little by little we’ll get there! I absolutely love the look of these — and they are the perfect size for a complete lunch. Thank you so much for sharing this!
