Elf Pets: Santa’s St. Bernards Save Christmas

This week Elf on the Shelf® released a new animated show just in time for the holidays, and we were at the launch here in Atlanta. It was a beautiful event celebrating the new show that is available on DVD and will air on TBS (check local listings).

What happens when Santa discovers there’s not enough Christmas spirit to make the holiday magical? Thankfully, the Scout Elves, a slew of Saint Bernard pups and a big-hearted family join forces to change their community for the better and ensure Santa’s yuletide mission succeeds.

Here are some highlights from the event.

I’ll be honest; I had no idea that Elf on the Self® was an Atlanta based company. The founders came out to talk about their new venture in making more animated shows like this one and An Elf’s Story. They also highlighted the ways that they like to give back to our community. They presented a check for $5,000 to Must Ministries to help in their ongoing efforts to help those in need.

We had such an amazing time at the event. It was hosted at the Buckhead Theatre and had lots of great things for the kids to enjoy before the show got started. It’s hard to tell what their favorite things were because they were all smiles the whole day. The event had lots of the Elves and the new St. Bernard to take pictures with the kids. There was also some tasty cookie decorating and a candy bar for the kids to grab a snack to eat while they watched the show. They got their face painted and watched some cool balloon making.
After the event, they sent us home with the new Elf Pets: Santa’s St. Bernards Save Christmas movie and more Elf on the Shelf fun. The movie is an excellent lesson for kids to learn about being kind and helping others. The children express their kindness and the St. Bernards help gather it for the holidays. The message is lovely, and I hope more parents share this story with their little ones so they can grow to be giving adults.

Released this holiday season, the Elf Pets: Santa’s St. Bernards Save Christmas DVD is available at retailers nationwide for $9.95. The disc includes the 26:48 animated special, trailer, sing-along version, and filmmaker’s commentary.

When you buy the DVD at Target, you get a special storybook with the movie. But you know you’ll need a sweet St. Bernard Elf Pet after you watch.

How can you resist that sweet face!?
