Family Game Night with Power GreensThis week we had an awesome family pizza and game night together. We haven’t sat around and played at the table for a little while, and now that school is out we have to get creative to make sure we don’t hear the words, “I’m bored?” We have a massive closet filled with games for all ages, so we broke out a few and also tried out some new ones.

First, I stopped into Publix to snag a Frescetta Pizza. Publix now carries the new Freschetta Artisan Crust made with three whole grains, and right now you can get two pizzas for $10 from 5/19 – 6/8.  They also have self-rising and brick oven crusts, which is my favorite. I also picked up some things to make a yummy power greens salad. Family Game Night with Power Greens

Filled with spinach, baby kale, chard, collards, chicory, and mustard greens. This salad is loaded with vitamin A and C, folate and calcium.  I added some feta cheese, fresh strawberries, and some cashews as well then drizzle some balsamic vinegarette on top. My kids love it when I put fruit in our salads. I’m lucky enough that both of my kids enjoy salad. Family Game Night with Power GreensThe girls thoroughly cleared their plates of their Freschetta Pizza and salads. It’s funny watching them eat salad because they eat their favorite parts first. The toppings go first and then on to the greens. Family Game Night with Power Greens

After dinner, we broke out a new game called Fast Flip which is a fun take on the Spot-It games. Then there was some Candyland action, which I never win because I’m always sent back to the beginning, but this time, my husband took that title. Family Game Night with Power Greens

It was nice just laughing and enjoying each other’s company. The girls have been enjoying summer so far. They spend a lot of time outside playing in our little kiddie pool and slip and slide. I can’t wait to see my water bill next month. Especially because after playing outside in the water, they come inside to take a bath. I’m going to start shampooing them in the yard. Family Game Night with Power Greens Salad

Firebird
really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
Sunrise on the Reaping
it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
Some Like It Scot
liked it
This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
My Demon Hunter
really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
