The live stream at Star Wars celebration did not disappoint today. This morning we were treated to the panel for The Last Jedi where we were introduced to new characters, the movie poster and the very first trailer for The Last Jedi. I was giddy with anticipation to see what direction the Saga is headed.

After watching the first trailer and discussing it with other mega Star Wars fans there are a few things that everyone is contemplating. The first of course is the name The Last Jedi, the word Jedi can also be plural form so are we talking about multiple Jedi or just one. We also notice that the Star Wars is red indication Sith and the Dark Side. Add the new poster to the mix and we have Kylo Ren and Luke Skywalker in red as if they were both “dark” while Rey is colored and has the light saber.

We get another strong female heroine named Rose.

Now watch the trailer and listen very carefully to the words being used. Light, Darkness, a balance. Kylo RENs mask destroyed on the floor much like Vader’s. At the end, Luke says “It’s time for the Jedi to end. ”

So will they be called something else? Will there finally be balance in the force? Are there 3 Last Jedi or 1? There has to be a movie where the Dark side gets a win, which would fit.

And seriously, is Obi-Wan Rey’s father!!?!?

But what got me, was this image of General Organa. I miss Carrie, deeply.
