Get Your Heart Pumping with Marvel’s The Defender’s

Marvel’s The Defender’s is finally hear and I’m so sad that the season is only 8 episodes long! While the show starts out slow, it quickly jumps in head first when you get all four of our heroes in the same room together. If you haven’t watched each of the characters stories, you need to do that first. Watch them in order because it is on a timeline. You won’t understand anything going on if you don’t watch each of the characters stories. 

I talk spoilers and predictions at the bottom of this post (1st warning)

Here is the order of the Marvel Netflix Universe:

1. Daredevil Seasons 1 & 2
2. Jessica Jones
3. Luke Cage
4. Iron Fist

The chemistry between these characters is exactly as you would expect. These are not the Avengers folks! They are everyday people that also happen to have special abilities. Daredevil AKA Matthew Murdock is the only one in the bunch that has a secret identity to protect. The others are out in the open and this puts them in danger. 

The Iron Fist and Daredevil have been fighting a centuries old organization called The Hand as it terrorizes New York city. We’ve only met two members of The Hand in previous episodes but in The Defender’s we get all 5 fingers, their back story, and the crazy things they are able to do. Lead by their ruthless leader, played by Sigourney Weaver, we finally get some insight into this lethal organization. 

The show is fantastic and Netflix does the Marvel Universe proud by creating a set of dark shows that you won’t see on prime time shows. Bingeworthy doesn’t even begin to touch on my thoughts. Your next Marvel Netflix binge will be The Punisher. We don’t have an exact date yet, but it will be in 2017.

Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.

Seriously, last warning……

So we can all agree that we can’t wait for the new seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and of course Daredevil!

Here are my predictions.

Matt is in K’un-Lun with Elektra, Madame Gao, and Murakami. With Matt being injured in the last scene, we know that he survived the Midland Circle collapse and did not need ‘The Substance’ to bring him back. We also know that Danny was a key for the Hand to return to K’un-Lun AND get ‘The Substance’ which we saw with the dragon bones. 

Danny Rand will continue to look for Matt and unearth the dragon to gain answers to why it is in New York and not K’un-Lun. Maybe even stumble upon another doorway to K’un-Lun. 

Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are going to rekindle their relationship. Because if you read the comics, you know that they are married and have super babies together. No idea about which villains they will face but as long as they keep crossing paths, I’ll be happy. I love Claire and her character but Luke and Jessica are meant to be together. He brings out the best in Jessica and I love that about their chemistry.
