Today was officially the last day of summer for us. It’s hard to believe that the girls are heading back to school in July. You read that right, JULY! So to celebrate we went out to RaceTrac to enjoy some Swirl Word before getting back into our school routine. I’m not looking forward to the early mornings, but the girls love school and they have so much fun while they are there. I’m sure that will change when they become teenagers so I’ll take the good now. I’m not going to lie, I’m a little sad about them going back already. I feel like Summer flew by and we didn’t get to do as much as we wanted to. There were lots of visits to RaceTrac though for Swirl World because it has been SO hot this summer. Probably another reason that we haven’t done much. Their favorite thing to do when we get Swirl Word is to test out all the flavors before they decide on which they will get. I love that Swirl Word has cones as well; Sugar cones and waffle cones. I some how managed to swirl the perfect cone for JaMonkey. Squishes wasn’t as pretty and made quite the mess on my hand! Cones don’t have as much room as the cups do so we only sprinkle one thing on our cones. Everything melts fast in the South so it was a face against the clock. All the sticky fingers here!

I love these little mommy and me times with them. I will get far less of them now that school is starting. I start back to school myself in a couple weeks. I’m a little nervous myself because I have to go on campus for the remainder of my classes. Being a non-traditional student who is much older than most of these kids is intimidating. But I’m almost done which is very exciting for me.

So cheers to heading back to school for all of us!
