It’s Earth Day! A time to celebrate the wonderful planet that we live on. Especially since it gives us such great things in return. I got a sweet baby brother on Earth day. It’s one of my favorite times to sit down with my girls and remind them of all the important things that our planet does for us.
It gives us beautiful forests that help us breathe fresh air. We can take nature walks with our dogs and enjoy the views and animals. Yummy food grows out of the ground to keep us alive. Fresh and crisp or cooked into our meals, we love growing vegetables in our garden to teach our girls about cooking and gardening. It also serves as a reminder that we need to take care of our planet. We discuss things like recycling, composting, not wasting food or water, and eco-friendly options that we can do around our house to save the planet.
We also try to keep our personal care products close to nature as well. All those crazy ingredients that you can’t even pronounce just seem scary. That is why I love Target’s Made to Matter line. Offering natural and organic products for the eco-conscious family, like Tom’s of Maine. We love Tom’s of Maine! I have everything in their line, my favorite being the mouthwash and the new Luminous White toothpaste. It is their most advanced natural whitening toothpaste that is safe for enamel, and is gluten and paraben free. The kids use the Wicked Cool! products and there is a new Men’s scent called North Woods, and they are all exclusively available in Target’s Made to Matter line.
Right now you can get a discount coupon for the new Tom’s of Maine products in Target’s Cartwheel offer.
I plan on calling my brother to wish him a happy birthday and then go for a hike with my family (if it isn’t raining that is). We also have to prep our garden to plant this year’s crops. We are a little behind on the planting schedule because work has been crazy for my husband and me.
How are you celebrating Earth Day?
