Apple cider vinegar should be a staple in every household. The health benefits and uses of Apple cider vinegar are endless, but here are 25 uses and recipes that we think everyone will love. Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar has lots of health benefits. Drinking ACV tastes just like other brands to me, but it has some great health benefits.
This post is brought to you by Heinz.
Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar unfiltered contains the Mother. The Mother is the existing bacteria that hasn’t been destroyed in pasteurization and gives a cloudy, thick appearance. Heinz ACV is made from natural apples and diluted with water to a uniform pickling and table strength.

One of my favorite things to use Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar for is in my “Sniffles Tea.” It helps break up my nasal decongestion when I have a cold or the flu. Here is what you’ll need.
23. Sniffles Tea
- Lemon Tea
- Honey
- Splash of Apple Cider Vinegar
The honey cuts out any bitterness from the lemon or vinegar. I used it this week for my cold, and it helps A LOT! Another one of my favorites is the Tangy Cucumber Dressing recipe from Heinz.
24. Salad Dressings and Vinaigrettes
Tangy Cucumber Dressing
- 2 tablespoons Heinz® Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced peeled cucumber
Directions
Combine ingredients. Cover; chill to blend flavors.
Serve over tomato and lettuce salads, sliced chicken, or chilled salmon. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
Last but not least, my all-time favorite use of Apple Cider Vinegar is catching fruit flies! We have a lot of our own vegetables and fruit in our garden, so they are always just sitting around waiting for us to eat them. So we attract quite a few. I make our fruit fly trap with a mason jar, apple cider vinegar, a cut piece of fruit, and a rolled-up piece of paper. I catch so many of them it blows me away!

It’s really amazing that there are so many uses for vinegar. I’ve actually sipped it before to help with indigestion and it worked.
Angela, I choose to contact you because you said you sipped the vinegar and I was looking for someone who had actually took a little straight, not diluted. I use it on all kind of skin problems and it cures all, great. So, I read somewhere in the past that it was good to take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a couple times a week. Ok, shouldn’t be a problem, I have on many occasions taken a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. well, I went to swallow this and it burned my throat severely . I was able to spit out a lot of it but my throat is so sore that I have been unable to eat or drink, swallow, for two days. Do you know anyone who actually swallowed some? did your sips burn ? I need to know because it just doesn’t make sense, maybe I have some other problem if the vinegar doesn’t burn. I would really appreciate any information about this. Thank You
is it really good for indigestion? how do you take it? can HEINZ ACV can also be considered? some says BRAGG brand only
Any ACV can be used. I’ve used a variety!
I’ve taken undiluted sips before as well. It’s like drinking something sour, but if your throat is raw from an illness that would hurt quite a bit. That’s why I love it in an herbal tea with honey.
Do not drink balsamic vinegar as it is strong….more when your throat is raw.
I have drunk mouthful of Apple cider vinegar 3 to 4 times a day to control the pain and severe itching after wasp sting….life saver!
I catch my fruit flies with a similar technique, only I use plastic wrap pulled taught over the top of a jar or bowl & poke holes in it with a chopstick.
I had no idea you could use apple cider vinegar so many ways!
I love using it in dressings too!
Thanks so much for sharing. Who knew it had so many uses.
I can’t believe that apple cider has so many uses, how cool!
I should try your sniffles tea!! I love apple cider vinegar!
I was getting back to back for several months, but it seems like I haven’t really been sick (just allergies) since using apple cider vinegar.
I have read that apple cider vinegar is also good for treating warts.
It really does work for cold and flu! I had such a sore throat but try not taking anything since I’m nursing 🙂
Okay I need to try that fruit fly trick, they’re bad this year.
it really works– I just put a bit in a cup and put shrink wrap over and poke a few holes.
I’ll have to try it with shrink wrap next time.
I’ve always heard there is so many uses for apple cider
I am definitely trying the fruit flies thing next time we get some. Those little things drive me bonkers.
Since l started using ACV, l have not experience the type of heart beat l was experiencing before.
I’m not sure what you mean by that. Can you elaborate?
What is the best method for using ACV for weight loss? I drink it straight twice to thrice a day, but it leaves a bad taste.
I’ve not used it for weight loss so I couldn’t give you an exact answer. I did read an article the other day that you can take a shot of 2 tbsp ACV with 2 tbsp water and 1/2tsp ground cinnamon before each meal to rev up your metabolism!
You told us what it was good for but only gave details on about 4 of them. Did I miss something or is this all of it?
1-22 are listed in the table at the top of this post. All of them are numbered 😉
I saw that. You are not telling anyone how to use them for the first 22 things listed. I hope that was clear enough for you to understand.
Most of them like “toner” are self-explanatory and don’t need additional direction. The post is just highlighting the many uses and benefits of apple cider vinegar. It’s versatility. The ones that I have used on a regular basis are listed with measurements.
