Some of my favorite things I use Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar is in my “Sniffles Tea.” It helps break up my nasal decongestion when I have a cold or the flu. Here is what you'll need.
23. Sniffles Tea
- Lemon Tea
- Splash of Apple Cider Vinegar
The honey cuts out any bitterness from the lemon or vinegar. I used it this week for my cold, and it helps A LOT! Another one of my favorites is the Tangy Cucumber Dressing recipe on the Heinz Vinegar site.
24. Tangy Cucumber Dressing
2 tablespoons Heinz® Apple Cider Vinegar
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup diced peeled cucumber
Combine ingredients. Cover; chill to blend flavors.
Serve over tomato and lettuce salads, sliced chicken or chilled salmon. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
Last but not least, my all time favorite use of Apple Cider Vinegar, catching fruit flies! We have a lot of our own vegetables and fruit in our garden so they are always just sitting around waiting for us to eat them. So we attract quite a few. I make our fruit fly trap with a mason jar, apple cider vinegar, a cut a fruit and a rolled up piece of paper. I catch so many of them it blows me away!
