For the last four years, I’ve been working and going to school at home all while taking care of my youngest. There were some days that she would attend a Mother’s morning out here and there so that I could focus on specific tasks or take a test for school. She plays so well by herself, and she is the dream child to have if you’re working from home. But this year she will be starting preschool, and I’ll have to give up my little snuggle buddy for most of the day soon, and I’m not looking forward to it.

We have a pretty good schedule in our house and every day around 3:30 (when the oldest would typically come home from school) we would take a break from everything and have a snack. Myself included, you know, the workday lull. Get up and stretch away from my desk, drink a glass of water and eat a little snack. It’s my time to get extra snuggles in too. I’ll join Squish with her snack, and we will play around with the silly filters on Snapchat and make funny videos together.

Now that it is summertime I’ve been doing the same with both of the girls. We go outside and enjoy the sun for a little while before we get too hot. The girls will run through the sprinkler and chase the dogs. It’s nice just to sit and listen to them laugh and enjoy each others company. It’s one of my favorite times of the day. My little breaks include my kids, but that’s mainly because we are all busy in our own little worlds. But during snack time we all come together.

I recently discovered Café Breaks pudding cups at Ingles that come in four delicious flavors like Mocha Latte, Caramel Latte, Chai Latte, and French Vanilla Latte. They have become my guilty pleasure during snack time because they are gluten free, 100 Calories or less per cup, and milk is the first ingredient. Some people like an afternoon coffee as a pick me up, and these pudding cups are just like doing that! I got the Mocha Latte and the Chai Latte, and they are so yummy.

Cafe Breaks

I can’t believe the girls are heading back to school in just a few weeks. I’m no longer going to get my random snuggles or get to listen to the stories they act out with their big imaginations. I’ll have to wait until they both come home from school in order to do that now.

Don’t mind me, there is just a piece of dust in my eye.

  1. I have not heard of these before.Whenever I get any free time even if it is five minutes, I try to read. I find that I do not have time to read like I used to have. What are the nutritional facts for this product? Do you think it could be added to recipes?+
