  • Hurricane Harbor Now Open at Six Flags Over Georgia VIDEO

We got to check out the new Hurricane Harbor this past week for their grand opening. We spent the day playing in the sun and creating some great family memories. Six Flags over Georgia has become a one stop shop for a full day (if not multiple days) of fun. This 7 acre expansion took the place of the amphitheater in the back of the park behind Paradise Island, the massive water structure that houses water sides, canons and pumps. It’s a fantastic expansion to an already awesome park.

Hurricane Harbor houses four different attractions for all different ages. The first of which is Calypso Bay, the wave pool. It has 2 wave generators that can produce 8 different wave types. The waves reach up to 4 foot tall and you can feel it all the way to the shallow end. The waves are powerful enough to knock a full grown adult back just sitting in the shallow end. You also need to watch out for the bottom of the wave pool, it is a very course grain so that you aren’t slipping around. This heavy grain can cause scratches on your little ones feet, especially after they are all pruny from being in the water all day! The waves are fun though, if you grab a tube and float out before the waves start. Behind Calypso Bay are the Bonzai Pipelines three slides all packing a different experience on each one. You can reach speeds of 16 miles per hour!

But the coolest ride for the “big kids”, is the Tsunami Surge. This unique water slide is the first hybrid zero-gravity ride of it’s kind. Four riders can plummet 5 stories and then up the side wall to experience zero-gravity. You will still have access to Paradise Island, kids favorite place to play. With two dump buckets, fountains, water canons and who could forget the awesome slides!

Take a look at the video to see all the great areas inside Hurricane Harbor

    Firebird
    really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
    Sunrise on the Reaping
    it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
    Some Like It Scot
    liked it
This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
    My Demon Hunter
    really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
