Doug Unplugs is a new children’s show streaming now on Apple TV+. We sat down with the executive producers Jim Nolan and Aliki Theofilopoulos to talk about the show.

Doug Unplugs is based on the book by Dan Yaccarino. Doug is a cute young boy that still has needs to plug in at times to learn something new. He learns that going out into the world and experiencing these things is much more enriching.

Doug is a young robot who senses there’s more to life than just the facts. While other robots plug in for their daily download, Doug unplugs and journeys into the human world with his best friend Emma to experience its wonders firsthand.
