This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

We’ve had the same bedtime routine for the last nine years. Even when JaMonkey was a baby, we would put her into comfy pajamas and read a story before bedtime. She now reads us the stories, but we’ve continued this with Peanut as well. Unfortunately, there are a lot of children that don’t have this luxury so the Pajama Program with the help of Carter’s works to solve that by providing warm pajamas and books to children in need. These are children that have been taken from their homes with only the clothing on their backs because those they trust most cannot care for them. They have to sleep in an unfamiliar place and are cold and afraid. Carter's Pajama Program

Carter’s will be accepting PJ donations in-store throughout the remainder of the year (12/31), and you can also make monetary donations at the register or online for the program. Your donation goes to help these children in your local community, as well as building reading centers around the country. Carter’s makes the most comfortable girls and boys pajamas, and it is my go to shop for pajamas. I normally buy the sets that include a few pairs each season for the girls. img_2921

Every Christmas Eve we let the kids open up one present before bedtime. This has become our Jingle Jammies gift to them. It includes a cozy pair of Holiday pajamas, a new book to read at bedtime and some hot chocolate to make together when we snuggle up to read our new book. Peanut’s room is frigid because it wasn’t insulated properly, so I make sure she gets warm fleece to wear in case she uncovers herself while she’s sleeping.

img_2906The thought that other children don’t have warm pajamas and a bedtime story at night breaks my heart. It’s something that we’ve done for so long that I take it for granted. That’s why we donate to the Carter’s Pajama Program each year. I think it’s a great cause and something that I can easily help by giving right in store when I’m getting my daughter’s their pajamas. During Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, Carter’s will match all PJ donations up to 100,000, both in-store and online. So please take a moment and give to this great cause.

Meghan's bookshelf: read

Firebird
really liked it
Firebird is a solid dark romantasy read. You have dragon-shifter political leaders of Rome. A witch who I don’t think we have seen the full extent of her power yet. There were so many little side stories told that I believe our FMC will ...
Sunrise on the Reaping
it was amazing
Oh Haymich, my heart is shattered for you. This was the perfect bridge between The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes and Catching Fire. Linking the wickedness of The Hunger Games with the victors who came together to end them. If Suzanne C...
Some Like It Scot
liked it
This was a sweet romance read. I really enjoyed the audiobook narrators (Joshua Manning and Stina Nielsen). I don’t usually read books that fall into the religious category, but I’m a sucker for Scots and Irishman so that is why I wanted...
My Demon Hunter
really liked it
I am thoroughly enjoying the Hell Bent series. My Demon Hunter was even better than My Funny Demon Valentine. I’m a sucker for demonology stories, and these are filled with all kinds of interesting characters. This one features a plus-si...
