My Husband loves to cook. Thank God. Because I love breaks from cooking. We don't enjoy a handful of foods that the other does and we're ok with making our own dinners some nights. While me and JaMonkey were at an event one night my husband decided he was going to jump into making something he could probably live off of, chili.
We had recently received a few cans of Red Gold Tomatoes to try out and he was actually quite excited about them because there were two flavors he was dying to try. Chili Ready Tomatoes and Tomatoes with Green Chilies.
He crossed into a good Blogger Husband this particular day because he did something so simple while he was cooking. He took pictures of the product and a few various steps while cooking his chili. I was a proud Blogger this day. Very impressed.
This is a man recipe so I'm going to tell you how my Husband made his chili just as I was told. Here goes.
1 can of Red Gold Tomatoes with Green Chilies
1 can of red kidney beans
1 can of Pinto Beans
1 pound of ground beef cooked with chili powder.
Don't drain anything. Just throw it all in a pot and heat. That's damn good chili.
He raved about these tomatoes. He said that they made the chili spicy without adding tons of chili powder. Red Gold also has Chili Ready tomatoes. I'm going to try my hand at a big crock pot version of chili with those.
