Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd, and you won’t want to miss it! This movie is packed with hilarious moments and an all-star cast. Thor: Ragnarok expands the universe a little further for us to meet a new world and characters.

Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive the deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Our favorite Asgardian god of thunder goes through quite the transformation over the Marvel cinematic timeline. He started out arrogant and unworthy of the Mjolnir (hammer) that he yields. Thor evolves each time we see him; And while we are sad to see those gorgeous blond locks cut from his head, hair designer Luca Vannella explains that this evolution of his character is what brought about the haircut. Thor is stripped of “his power” when he loses his hammer and armor so it was fitting that he would lose something else important to him, his hair.

Cate Blanchett is amazing in her role as Hela. I love all of her movies and she always plays light characters, so seeing her as the Goddess of Death was perfection. I get chills every time I see her on-screen. This video of her says it all.

In Thor: Ragnarok we see a significant shift in how Thor takes his duty of protecting Asgard when it is threatened by his older sister Hela. Hela is the firstborn to Odin and was his executioner during his time conquering the nine realms. Her thirst for conquering more than the nine realms has only grown while she was imprisoned. Thor and Loki know they must stop her but run into a little trouble along the way; Trouble that lands them on another planet. This is where the fun comes in.

This is where I feel like Thor meets Guardians of the Galaxy and moves into another world with lots of different aliens. It is on Sakaar that Thor must fight for his freedom against The Incredible Hulk. We have no idea how he got there, but the Hulk has become the champion warrior of the Grandmaster played by Jeff Goldblum. We all love Goldblum because of his witty, snarky banter, and you will find lots of it in Thor: Ragnarok. We also get to experience the Hulk in a way we hadn’t before. Hulk and Bruce Banner are very different characters, and I love that we get a better look into the Hulk side of him.

You’ll also get a taste of a member of the Valkyrie, Brunnhilde played by Tessa Thompson. The only surviving member after a battle against Hela, Valkyrie has exiled herself to Sakaar as a bounty hunter. She delivers the Hulk and Thor to the Grandmaster. This merry band of misfits sets out to protect Asgard and defeat Hela. ‘The Revengers,’ as Thor calls them, will surprise you in battle.

Thor: Ragnarok was great fun to watch. I laughed harder at this one than any other Thor movie. It is a must-see. As always, Disney and Marvel do not disappoint.

Ok, nerd alert and spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned.

To give you time to leave or scroll, here is a yummy picture of Thor to look at.

You’re welcome!

Ok, let’s do this!

Now for the stuff that’s really important….the easter eggs that will tie us all together for Infinity War!

By now we all know that the Infinity War revolves around Thanos getting his massive purple hands on all of the Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet. If you recall in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor has a vision of what is to come when he takes a dip in the Water of Sight. I will point out that Thor’s vision only showed four of the six stones.

So a little recap on where the six stones are.

Space Stone – This stone is encapsulated within the Tesseract which we last see in Thor: Ragnarok in Odin’s trophy room. Hela and Loki take an interest in it, but I’m sure you can guess who has it.

Time Stone – Located inside the Eye of Agamotto and last seen in Doctor Strange.

Power Stone – Encapsulated within the Orb. Last seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and was given to the Nova-Corps for safekeeping.

Reality Stone / Aether – This was last seen in Thor: A Dark World when the Asgardians took the Aether to The Collector who was secretly gathering all of the stones. He almost had the Power Stone before the Guardians left with it.

Mind Stone – This is the stone that gave Vision life in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Currently resting on his forehead, not sure what will happen to him if the stone is taken!

Soul Stone – The final stone is the Soul Stone, and to date, there has been no mention of it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That can only mean one of two things. We will see it in the upcoming Black Panther or the Infinity War movies! The Soul Stone is tied to Adam Warlock so my bet is on the latter. Although it is worth noting that Thanos visits Wakanda, so maybe this is the epic segway to Infinity War.

But the biggest easter egg bomb that we realize in Thor: Ragnarok is when Hela knocks the Infinity Gauntlet from its pedestal in Odin’s trophy room and says it’s a FAKE! If you’ve watched any of the credit scenes, you would know that Thanos already has the Infinity Gauntlet. He puts it on after Loki and Ronan the Accuser both fail him in getting the Infinity Stones in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

There you have it. A recap to prepare you for Infinity War, when all the characters come together to save the universe! I cannot wait!
