Meet Jannah the new Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker character

Star Wars Celebration is in full swing and while fans are thrilled to get a first look at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker but we also got a glimpse at a new character, Jannah played by British actor Naomi Ackie.

“The original group are going on an epic, epic adventure together and I’m so excited about where Jannah crosses paths with them,” Naomi Ackie said. “It’s wicked! It’s good!”

There are theories floating around that Jannah is the daughter of Lando Calrissian. By the looks of her costume, I can see why fans would think that. She wears bright yellow and blue colors and that signature cape just like Lando. Ackie had a good chuckle about this with fans.

“Lando is a very charming man, so he could have children all over the universe,” Ackie said. “That’s all I’m saying!”

During the Star Wars Show Livestream, Oscar Isaac mentioned that on the first day of filming for Ackie was a hard day.

“She had a difficult thing to do in front of all of us,” Isaac said. “It was a very precise thing that she had, she’s a badass in this movie you guys! The stuff that she does in this film, it’s amazing.”

Isaac kept dishing out the compliments that it was such a badass thing she had to do and she did it like a pro.

Jannah sounds like a pretty kick-butt character and maybe after Lando gets the Millennium Falcon back he will pass it on to Jannah, the next generation.
