Nearly 3 years ago I asked you my readers to choose the color in my office. It is now Seal Grey and white trim. I’ve been collecting pieces for the room since then and I’m so happy to see it all put together know.

You may remember this Cobblestone Sauder desk from my Creativity Station for the kids. They have been enjoying it to its full potential until it made its way upstairs. My office is also where my toddler sleeps so we are sharing a room but it worked out perfectly.

The pops of color are an added bonus to it being a child’s room. The desk is a muted Cobblestone color that blends into the color scheme perfectly. Plus, if I wanted to add a bookshelf or a side table in matching colors I could. The Original Cottage Collection has lots of pieces to choose from. One of my favorite aspects of the room are the different symbols. Something that I also have around my blog as well. The @ symbol is in my logo and the & can be seen on the sidebar. I think I’m going to paint the @ symbol a different color so that it blends with the room better but I haven’t quite decided on the color. The various desk accessories are a matching grey color, white and my favorite color, turquoise blue. The little pops of yellow break up the grey in the room and bring in a brightened color to the mix. I added some of my favorite Social Media and Business books to keep me inspired along with bringing in a little earthy element with the grass plant. The sofa doubles as a guest bed and the pillows bring tie a few pieces together like the bird-cage hanging and the yellow pillow which was canaries and cages on it. I’ve become obsessed with geometric patterns lately also so when I found this pillow with all of the colors of the room on it I had to have it. We don’t play in this room, it’s simply for sleeping so I only needed to dedicate a small space for her things. I’ve put a few toys and her favorite bedtime books that we read each night. I also found this great peace marquee sign. Another great way for me to use the desk is making it my crafting area. Since it has lots of surface space I can easily sew or lay all my materials out. We love this desk and as sturdy as it is I know it will be in our family for a long time.
