We read books nearly every night before bed. My oldest has just started reading chapter books so we have started looking for fun bookmarks to place into our books. These Monster Bookmarks are so adorable and fun to make. Let your kids pick out the colors they want to use. Once you are done, place the bookmark on the book page and it looks like your bookmark is eating the page!
I need to make 50 of these for each of the many books I’m trying to read!
Here are the supplies you’ll need for this project:
Scrapbook paper
Glue
Hole punches of various sizes or large googly eyes
Take a piece of scrapbook paper and cut to 5 x 5 inches.
Fold in half one way and then the other way to create 4 scored squares.
Cut away one of the squares
Cut diagonally across the 2 outer squares.
Trim and glue a square of different colored/patterned paper on the opposite side leaving a narrow border.
Stick the two triangular flaps together
Use white cardstock to create the teeth, glue to the underside of the triangle.
Use a large, medium and small hole punch to create the eyes (You can also use googly eyes)
Glue eyes on the triangle
OMG How adorable are these!?
They are the perfect little bookmarks for nightly reading with your kids. They will have fun making them and placing them into the book.
Chomp, chomp, chomp!
