This is a sponsored post as part of the ShakleeCorporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating. My opinions are my own. People following the weight-loss portion of theShaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
I wish I could say that I knocked this past month out of the park, but I’d be lying. I was lazy this month. I’m behind in work and have way too much going on. Pair that with press trips with culinary tours, my birthday, mothers day and our anniversary and that means…I like food. The upside to this bad month is that I didn’t gain any of the weight back.
This month I stopped taking the metabolic boost pills because I was having stomach issues. I’ll be trying to get back on them in June to see if it was something else that caused my discomfort because I think it’s a must to take both if you want to see results. I also got a little burnt out on shakes so I tore through my meal bars first this month. After I had eaten all of them I switched to having a shake for breakfast. I think this is what kept me from gaining anything back this month.
The one thing that I love about going through this Shaklee 180™ is that my husband is working out with me or getting me to work out really. Every time I lose a substantial amount of weight he makes a big change as well. Last time I lost 22 pounds he decided to quit smoking. He’s still a gum chewer, I was hoping he would give that up but alas, beggars can’t be choosers. This time though, he has finally gotten active. During my last pregnancy he gained about the same amount as me. But my husband was blessed with an amazing metabolism. He can also do a sit up and have a 6 pack, but he’s motivated and that keeps me motivated. We work out in the living room after the kids go to sleep. I have a ShredHead board on Pinterest with easy work outs that don’t kill me.
I’ve discovered that I’m obsessed with doing fun runs. Next month my husband and I will be doing a Super Hero Spring to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Strong 4 Life campaign. We love Children’s and I did my first 10k during the Strong Legs Run. Not to mention they have helped both of my girls. I’m not really a runner by any means but I’m not a couch potato either. The elliptical is getting used more than last month.
I haven’t lost any additional weight but I will tell you this. I’ve lost nearly 27 inches total since starting the Shaklee 180™ program. That’s awesome. Here is my Super Hero outfit for our upcoming race. I’ll be Wonder Woman (I have matching socks too) and my husband will be Superman. I’m totally sucking in, but I’ll tell you a secret, this shirt is a juniors size. I couldn’t believe I could get it on! So I’m so happy with this program. Now that summer break is here I’ll be trying to get out with my family more. Too much screen time and I’ll go crazy. It’s Camp Mom this summer.
Check out my video giving you an inside, step-by-step, look into the tools that Shaklee offers online and the app. Also check out the great video I did of some friends and bloggers sharing they thing they love most about themselves.
You look great, momma!
Go you! You look fabulous!!
You are looking so extra fabulous!
You look really great, even if you are sucking in. Ha ha! Way to fit in a junior size. When you get back to the Metabolic Boost, try starting out slow. Maybe just one with breakfast for a bit. Then add breakfast and lunch, etc. That may help your body get used to it. For the shakes, maybe try a few new recipes. My favorite is chocolate and putting in a tablespoon of peanut butter. It kind of tastes like a reese’s peanut butter cup. 🙂
I love the shirt! Great job on your progress!
You look amazing, Meghan!
I love that outfit! so so cool!!
Awesome! And we all fall off the wagon, but not gaining anything while you took a little break is a major feat in itself! Have fun on the run!
congrats on your progress so far!
I feel like if I had as busy a month as you did I would have gained back a lot so the fact that you maintained is amazing!
You’re looking great! This past month wasn’t good for me when it came to eating either :-p. We all have those off times. I hope the pill doesn’t bother you again!
