So many emotions! The latest trailer and poster for Marvel Avengers Infinity War is here, and it gives fans everything they want…well almost. Here are my thoughts. (This poster is getting a frame and going in my house)
First, watch the trailer! I’ve watched it at least five times already.
Amazing right!?
First, who isn’t in the trailers (still)? Hawkeye and Ant-Man. There are talks that we should expect to say goodbye to some characters. Real dead, not comic book dead (alternate timelines and universes). Many fans think that means Hawkeye for sure. We know that Ant-Man has a new movie coming out after Infinity War, so we know he is safe. Mantis has only gotten a small amount of screen time as well.
Thanos’ Black Order and that includes Loki! We know that Loki has the Tesseract after the final scenes from Thor: Ragnarok. We also see Loki give the Tesseract to Thanos in the first trailer. We all know Loki is bad, but he also has those redeeming qualities. So, does Loki see what terror he has helped unleashed and come to the aid of The Avengers later in the movie? I hope so. Come on Loki! If you take a closer look, you can see that Proxima Midnight is holding her weapon aimed at Loki. You also see lots of bodies around them. This is most likely the ship that was carrying all of the Asgardians. Which also points to Thanos holding Thor’s head, probably making him watch as he kills all of his people and Loki is forced to hand over the Tesseract.
Seeing Peter Quill and Tony Stork working together is probably the best thing in the world. Their snark is going to be epic. I’d take an entire movie with just the two of them taking stabs at each other.
BABY GAMORA!!!!
Not only do we see Gamora as a child, we see Thanos taking her from her people and home planet. I’m so happy that we are getting a taste of her origin story because Guardians of the Galaxy has been focused on Starlord!
Thanos- ” I hope they remember you” cut to Iron Man in a busted up suit and Captain America taking on Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet alone!? With contracts ending for both of the actors and Marvel, it could happen.
Cap CANNOT be one of the losses that we should be prepared for. I just can’t even with that mess.
I will say that I am loving the long-haired, bearded Steve Rogers though.
