I’ve been a customer with NETFLIX since before it had online streaming. When they added the streaming I was very excited, but not as excited as I was when they introduced NETFLIX Kids. After we ditched our cable box to stream directly to our TV we needed a way to bring my daughter’s favorite shows back. She was so used to watching them at specific times on the weekend mornings. Thank goodness NETFLIX expanded their content by adding Disney Jr., PBS, Hasbro and Cartoon Network, because it gave us more to choose from.
NETFLIX has apps for all devices. Gaming devices, tablets and smartphones. We generally use our Roku, because we can watch it on the TV. But if we are going on a long trip or a restaurant that is taking way too long I can pull out my phone or iPad and turn on a Disney movie like Pocahontas to chill them out. Some of my daughters favorites are the Disney movies, The Lorax, Hasbro’s My Little Pony and Mickey Mouse Club House.
Almost every weekend it’s been raining so we get in a lot of our movie watching in then. NETFLIX does a great job at categorizing the content, whether it’s by age group or network. But you can even put your iPad in Just for Kids mode. This makes it harder for little ones to stumble upon a video that isn’t appropriate.
We’ve been so happy with NETFLIX Kids since making the switch to full streaming instead of paying a fortune for cable. There is so much to choose from and they add more all the time. Even new movies. We’ve also watched a few classics from my childhood.
What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere.
And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!

We made the full switch a few years back, Netflix has always had enough content to keep us happy. I love that they added Disney recently!
That is awesome! Totally doing this for the ipad
we stream Netflix on our Apple TV and iPad for my daughter – she loves it!
This is great, we ditched cable about 18 months ago, and my daughter misses Disney, so I will have to check this out
I miss my Netflix!!
I love Netflix kids. We just moved, can’t get cable out here and this has been my lifesaver!
I love that picture! Netflix is a really cool service.
We still have cable as I want to be able to watch local news and such but as more and more shows we like are cancelled it is getting more tempting to drop cable and just use Netflix. I think I watch more Netflix than regular TV these days. I love watching the older series as they are better than most of the new shows anyways and it has been more than 10 years since I have seen them so it is nice to be able to rewatch them.
I love the kids Netflix as there really is a lot of content there to keep my son busy. I haven’t tried it on my phone yet but may do that this summer.
we have been using Amazon prime recently.
I love Netflix. I will make a full swtich when my contract with Comast is up this fall. I also have a Roku player. Yay for streaming!
With Netflix being just $7.99 a month, you really can’t go wrong with a membership!
My son loves watching netflix!
So much better than regular TV!!
They offer so much for the little ones! I had no idea.
We used to get DVDs but cancelled it last year… Netflix streaming fits our lives better. 🙂
This is awesome!!! My kids still watch some shows. I will be sure to look this up.
I’ve been trying to convince my husband to ditch cable for awhile now. Thanks for letting us know how kid-friendly Netflix is, especially when it comes to Disney.
