Verizon Wireless brought me out for lunch to show me the all new Motorola Droid phones coming out this month (August). They include the Mini, Maxx and Ultra. With Carbon Fiber bodies and the Mini and Maxx feature wireless charging. It also host a bunch of other awesome features that are game changers in my book. One of my favorite features was on the Maxx. It has a 48 hour battery life! As a blogger on the go I'm on my phone a lot and I hate that it dies so fast. The way that the new Droids can offer such a long battery life is the home screen sleep mode. When the phone is locked and you want to check the time or quickly read a message without unlocking the phone it doesn't illiminate the screen to full max like all the other phones. It only uses a small amount of pixels to quickly show you what you want to see and then goes back to sleep.
The front camera is now a 2MP and the back is 10MP. Has touchless commands with Google Now and Zap technology that lets you share to the cloud and then your friends quickly. Face unlock. But my favorite feature on the new phones is called the snap feature that allows you to turn your camera on with just the shake of the phone. I took a video of this in action. Check it out below.
Preorders are open for the new Motorola Droids now at VerizonWireless.com and will ship out on 8/21!
