The Bad Moms are back, and this time their Mother’s are coming to town! I’m a sucker for an excellent, hilarious movie, and Bad Moms falls into this category. It captures the chaos of Motherhood and expectations that we face. The original Bad Moms focused on dealing with other Moms and competing to be the best Mom in the PTA. While it captures a satirical side to this, there is some truth to it. You’ll laugh and cry all in the same movie. A Bad Moms Christmas is the same, except we get the holidays and a dose of the Bad Moms mother’s thrown in.
Under-appreciated and overburdened moms Amy, Kiki and Carla rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. As if creating the perfect holiday for their families isn’t hard enough, they’ll have to do it while hosting and entertaining their own respective mothers when they come to visit.
The holidays are stressful for Moms. Like Mila Kunis says, “I just want to enjoy Christmas this year,” her mother replies, “You’re a mom! Mom’s don’t enjoy, they give joy.” Isn’t that the truth? My favorite scene from the entire movie was when the moms were sitting in the mall talking about taking back Christmas and doing things their way. There is nothing wrong with being the hot mess mom. I’ve been the hot mess mom for ten years; I got this down!
A Bad Moms Christmas is hilarious! You’re still going to laugh, cry, and blush throughout the whole movie. Some great raunchy fun in some places. Check out the red band trailer, (red band means language, you’ve been warned)!
Sometimes Moms need a break and a chance to vent about the things that drive us crazy. I do it with my girlfriends any chance I can break free. Last year we planned a Mom’s night out and went and saw the first movie. It was an epic evening of us all turning to each other and going, “I know that feeling!” That same can be said for A Bad Moms Christmas, so gather your girlfriends and plan a trip to go drinking and to the movies!
Ho-ho-ho ladies! A Bad Moms Christmas is in theaters November 1st!
